PRENATAL SKINCARE

One thing I learned from my mom is to invest in your skin. She doesn’t really invest in designer clothing items, but she splurges where it matters, in my opinion. Let’s face it, you get one face. I read a LOT of articles on skincare and I literally get Diane Sawyer-level-interview-deep with medical and beauty professionals when I see them to find out what’s the best, what to do, what not to do, etc. I also prefer to buy most of my products with active ingredients from a medical professional because I believe they get higher medical grade ingredients versus what you can get over the counter. I save on moisturizers, cleansers, and scrubs. So based on what I’ve learned, here are my Go-Tos for Pre-Natal Skincare:

MORNING ROUTINE

MORNING ROUTINE:

  1. Skin Better Science Even Tone Correcting Serum - One of the few skin tone correcting serums targeting hyperpigmentation that’s safe for pregger ladies, since it doesn’t contain hydroquinone. Buy from a medical professional.

  2. Skin Better Science Alto Antioxidant Serum - An Allure Best of Beauty Winner.

  3. Dr Lancer Eye Cream

  4. Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyarulonic Serum - I love this because it’s lightweight yet hydrating.

  5. Super Goop Unseen Sunscreen - I can’t rave about this one enough! I was a die-hard La Roche-Posay user for YEARS until this came into my life.

NIGHT ROUTINE

NIGHT ROUTINE:

  1. Beauty Bio Glo Pro - If you get one at-home beauty tool, pregnant or not, get this. It takes just 1 minute per face area - 4 minutes total, and it’s incredible for helping your products penetrate deeper and for skin rejuvenation. Trust me. I try to use this 4-5 nights a week.

  2. Dr Dennis Gross SpectraLite - Pre-baby I was using botox for crows feet, so I never knew if this was working. Since I had to take a break from botox, I’ve noticed crepe-y lines and crows feet, sadly, so I’ve been using this to battle those bad boys.

  3. I alternate between the Dr Gross Peel Pads OR Sunday Riley Good Genes Lactic Acid for a nightly AHA exfoliant.

  4. Skin Better Science Alto Antioxidant Serum

  5. I alternate between Dr Gross Hyarulonic Cream and Missha Super Aqua Ice Tear for moisturizer #1.

  6. Then to be extra extra, because why not, I add a layer of Josie Maran Argan Oil.

  7. Dr Lancer Eye Cream
